10 Most Popular Nigerian Blogs and Websites for the month of January 2013

Here we go; a monthly review of most popular Nigerian owned blogs and websites, based on their monthly impact, search engine popularity and societal importance.

In this review, I am going to be as specific, unbiased and honest as possible. Meanwhile, if your favorite blog or website wasn’t included in the list, and you feel it deserves to be on the list, kindly drop your opinion in the comment box, so we can dig deeper to verify your claims and possibly make corrections where necessary, so let’s get going immediately.

See complete list of review after the page cut...

1.       http://www.nairaland.com: this Nigerian owned forum based website is no doubt the most popular, interactive and vital website in Nigeria of today. It hosts people (forum members, fondly known as nairalanders) from all works of life; ranging from students, professionals to craftsmen.
2.       http://lindaikeji.blogspot.com: No doubt, Linda Ikeji’s blog is the most popular individually owned blog in Nigeria. The name Linda Ikeji is now synonymous with blogging in Nigeria, and it is gradually turning into a household name amongst internet users in Nigeria, especially the youths. Linda Ikeji’s is as interactive as a community youth forum, with readers dropping comments as they read, unlike in most blogs that readers read and walk away without showing appreciation or leaving a footmark of their presence.
3.       http://www.ynaija.com: this is another popular website in Nigeria. It has so many followers on facebook, and it’s as popular as the ovation magazine itself.
4.       http://www.nigeriafilms.com: talk about NOLLYWOOD gists and gossips, then you ought to mention the popular nigeriafilms website where most other blogs and sites copy their NOLLYWOOD news from.
5.       http://www.talkofnaija.com: this is another Nigerian website that is making wave in the celebrity gossip and entertainment news podcast.
6.       http://www.bellanaija.com: a one-stop online magazine website. Lots to entertain the readers.
7.       http://ww.naij.com: this is another Nigerian owned website that’s making wave in the internet news and gossip industry. Talk about current affairs, entertainment and local news, the site is there to represent.
8.       http://www.naijapals.com and http://www.gistmania.com: great twin websites
9.       http://www.naija.com: Current affairs, foreign news, economy news, entertainment and locals.
10.   http://ladunliadi.blogspot.com: this is another wonderful blog to visit. It has interactive readers, and the webmaster knows what he/she is doing.
Upcoming Nigerian blogs and websites to watch out for in February 2013.

And u mr Mazino...linda ikeji started blogging 8 yrs ago for ur info. and her blog only became popular in 2011. So she didn't jst start yest. 14. Make Dubai your preferred destination!

The UAE is seen as the fourth most attractive education destination in the world behind US, UK and Canada and for students seeking to pursue their studies abroad, and the most attractive education destination among emerging market economies – beating the likes of China, Singapore and Australia. This is according to ground- news research released by Dubai International Academic City (DIAC), in conjunction with Deloitte. http://www.diacedu.ae/media-center/announcements/436-uae-seen-as-one-of-the-worlds-top-five-education-destinations

Also, there are a considerable number of expatriates in the United Arab Emirates, with most living in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The country's extremely liberal and open-minded society compared to its neighbors’ has resulted in mass immigration from all over the world, including people from western nations. As a result, the native Emiratis are outnumbered in their own country at a ratio of 11 to 1. They now make up only 9% of the population whereas foreigners make up 91% of the remaining population. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expatriates_in_the_United_Arab_Emirates

To cap it up, there are numerous work opportunities.

  28. I never believed in love spells or magic until I met this spell caster once when i went to see my friend in Indian this year on a business summit. I meant a man who's name is Dr ATILA he is really powerful and could help cast spells to bring back one's gone, lost, misbehaving lover and magic money spell or spell for a good job or luck spell .I'm now happy & a living testimony cos the man i had wanted to marry left me 5 weeks before our wedding and my life was upside down cos our relationship has been on for 3years. I really loved him, but his mother was against us and he had no good paying job. So when i met this spell caster, i told him what happened and explained the situation of things to him. At first i was undecided, skeptical and doubtful, but i just gave it a try. And in 7 days when i returned to Canada, my boyfriend (now husband) called me by himself and came to me apologizing that everything had been settled with his mom and family and he got a new job interview so we should get married. I didn't believe it cos the spell caster only asked for my name and my boyfriends name and all i wanted him to do. Well we are happily married now and we are expecting our little kid, and my husband also got the new job and our lives became much better. His email is atilahealinghome@yahoo.com
